Either book a ferry and viewing of the Statue + Island…

And then either explore Staten Island or take the (Again) FREE Ferry straight back to Manhattan.

Created after the Tragic 9/11 Attacks, this memorial is a must-see, as it is Truly Moving, and an integral part of New York City History.

Inscribed on the Memorial are the names of the 2,983 victims, and each day, the staff place a White Rose at the names of those whose birthday it would be.

Also very memorable is the Experience of going to the Top of the new One World Trade Centre (known as “Freedom Tower” by the Locals), where you will have a 360 Degree view of the City from its Tallest Building! 

Also, the Elevator Journey to the Top includes a fascinating Time-Lapse Video of the history of the City, starting when the City was just Farmland.

Created in 1858, this Famous Historic Park is a favorite recreation spot for Tourists and Locals alike.

Offering Stunning Views of the Manhattan skyline, experience the city’s History and Architecture on this iconic Bridge.

Also, the Brooklyn Bridge Park is a great spot to watch the Sunset with the NYC Skyline Silhouetted and lit up in the Orange Light!

This Bustling Square FULL of Tourists is famous for its huge Billboards, Theaters, and varied Street Performers (often performing acrobatics OVER the Tourists!).

Our Tip: Visit here after the Sun has set to experience the Billboards at their most be-dazzling.

This is the most important Transportation Hub in NYC. connecting Subway, Rail, and Bus lines; and is very impressive to walk around in.

The High Line is an abandoned railroad Track turned into a public park, it offers a unique and interesting way to see the city from a different Perspective!

Top Tips

The CityPASS will get you discounted Admission to Multiple Attractions.

New York City has a Bike-Sharing Program: CitiBikes,
and these are affordable and can be found EVERYWHERE.

We recommend using these as you will see more of the City when getting around on the bikes compared to riding the Subway!

If you are Traveling from the East (for example from Europe), make the Most of your Jetlag and Get Up Early (5AM) and explore the City while it is still quiet, and head to a cool spot, such as the Brooklyn Bridge, to watch the Sunrise!

This is the perfect way to start your Trip and will give you a totally Unique experience of the City, watching it change from Night to Day!

Safety concerns for tourists in New York City are low.

As with any tourist destination, be aware of your surroundings and keep your valuables safe.

Be careful in crowded areas and at night, as well as in chaotic situations like the busy streets or subway.

Where to Stay?

If you want to experience the Hustle and Bustle and be in walking distance of the main Attractions, we recommend to stay in Manhattan. If you want somewhere with more space, Brooklyn may be a great option too!

  • Hostels: There are many great options for affordable hostels, either with shared or private rooms. Hostelworld is a great resource to find and book beds. This is the best value option and ideal for solo travelers. The most highly recommended budget hostel is the HI New York City Hostel, located in the Upper West Side of Manhattan.
  • There are many great Airbnb offerings, and this option may be the best value for families or groups.
  • Hotels are a good option for families, or people mainly looking to relax.
